Sandeep Pampally



Sandeep Pampally, usually credited as Pampally, is a Malayali Indian short film director. He has created many short films of social impedance. He is also a writer with two published short story collections and a painter, sculptor and actor. He has directed telefilms, ad-films, talk shows and now works for Malayalam Film Industry. He is the proprietor of Pampally Productions, a registered concern for production of movies, short films, ads, tele-shows etc.

Pampally was honored first time at the age of four for his painting. He was selected as Kalaprathibha (champion of arts) in Calicut sub-district youth festival in school days. Won several achievements for painting, mono act, mimicry, drama, short story writing etc. Participated in several professional dramas as actor and director. Won best actor twice in Inter Zonal drama competition. Worked as drama artist in Calicut All India Radio for many years and participated in five national radio drama festivals. Started writing short stories for contemporary literary magazines at the age of 21 and published two short story collections. Worked as assistant director for the Television Program 'Dance and Music' (35 episodes, Doordarshan, national telecasting channel) in 2000. During the Post graduation in Software programmer, he joined the computer section of Mathrubhumi daily in 2000. After resigning from Mathrubhumi daily in 2009, he started to work for film industry.

7.         WON BEST WORK (IS THIS LOVE-STORY/SCREENPLAY/ DIRECTION) FROM THE 'ROMANTIC' FILM FESTIVAL BY FILM SKOOL, CHANGANASSERRY 2010.
